Sources

In english 101 a large part of the paper writing is sources. When writing an essay, facts and supporting detail are crucial. The most important thing to do is get solid sources and build your paper on them. This is very important as sources can provide as a cornerstone of the paper. When locating sources I always try to stick to scholary sources. This way i can assure the accuracy of that source. I also look for sources that have information related to what I am saying. That way, when I cite them in my paper, the flow isnt ruined. I find all these to be very important in writing a paper.

Kellogg's Article

The Kellogg's cereal company is thinking about laser etching their logo into every piece of corn flakes. They use a very small laser that doesn't change the taste one bit. But the reason that such a big company is doing this is to give the reassurance to consumers that they are truly eating Kellogg's brand name cereal. The company believes that doing this will increase their sales due to the fact that everyone knows the cereal they are eating is not an imposter. The numbers of corn flakes eaten in the world is quite large and the Kellogg company wants to convert all of the cornflake consumers to eat their brand.

Omnivore's 18&19

Chapter 18 of Omnivore's Dilemma is about hunting. It describes what needs to be done in preparation and delves into the mental aspect of hunting and killing. As someone who has been hunting, I could relate alot to the reading. I went through some of the same emotions and thoughts before and during my experience as well. When the reading was discussing how he got the gun and was just thinking about what he was going to do, I could relate. I went over to my uncles a month before we were going and he showed me all the safety information and we went out the range. It got me thinking about what I was actually doing and if I could actually go through with it. And coming to the actually day with me going hunting there was a mixed bag of emotions. Actually shooting the gun was a big step and killing an animal changes a person. I could relate greatly to this reading, it was a good read.
